Maths curriculum

Whole School Maths Overview

EYFS

Pupils in Year R follow the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum to develop a deep understanding of numbers up to 10.  Teachers use the Mastering Number Programme from the NCETM to develop children's numbersense within 10 and their vocabulary to ensure children can talk about their maths and explain what they know.  In addition to this programme, teachers provide opportunities for learning about shape, measures and spatial reasoning using the White Rose resources.

Ready to Progress Criteria

The Ready to Progress Criteria are used to prioritise the core concepts to teach children in maths throughout the year.  The resources can be found in the links below.
