We are looking for a full time teacher to work across the school to teach interventions for children’s learning, to provide cover for teacher release/PPA/CPD and to cover unexpected staff absence.

 

You will need to be experienced, flexible and able to teach effectively across the primary age range (in particular Y1-Y5).

 

We are committed to creating an inclusive, nurturing and creative learning environment for our children and our staff have high expectations for all children.  You will be working alongside a staff team striving to ensure children make accelerated progress in their learning. This role requires flexibility, curriculum knowledge, strong relationship building and confident behaviour management.

 

The ideal candidate will:

•          Hold QTS

•          Have a proven track record of securing high standards in learning

•          Have a passion for working with children and for supporting them to succeed

•          Have high expectations with regard to learning and behaviour

•          Have excellent primary curriculum subject knowledge, including early reading & phonics

•          Be able to plan, deliver and assess learning in conjunction with class teachers

•          Be highly motivated and able to organise their time effectively

•          Have a clear understanding of assessment for learning in order to address misconceptions     

•          Be able to provide effective feedback to children to improve their learning

•          Be able to work well as part of a team

•          Be able to communicate effectively

•          Be committed to high standards of personal and professional development

•          Have a secure understanding of safeguarding legislation and guidance

•          Be positive, calm and caring and be able to sensitively support and challenge children
