We were excited to host a visit from Councillor Darren Paffey this week. He visited Newlands for a tour of the school and the temporary Resource Base for Deaf Children, Owls, as well as seeing the new build site in action!
Two of our children from Owls base led the tour and impressed him with their detailed talk about learning at Newlands and the wider curriculum, including exciting trips, residential visits and music with Showcase.
They then showed off Owls base and Cllr Paffey chatted to the children about the specialist support they have in place and also learned about how processors work!
He then paid a visit to the new build site where the groundworks have begun.
