Food Parcels for Families
We are so proud of our kitchen staff have done a marvellous job preparing food parcels for families who are entitled to free school meals.
Many of you will have read reports of some schools offering parcels produced by commercial companies which have fallen short in terms of value and nutrition. As you can see the parcels that are being collected from Newlands are well considered, offering a wholesome balance of food types including fresh food together with some cupboard staples.
Our catering team have planned and ordered the ingredients for these parcels and the school staff have been distributing these safely from the front Hall doors to families, along with work packs where requested. So far over 200 parcels have been produced this week. Please contact the school office for more information.
