Newlands celebrate BOOK WEEK
Last week was BOOK WEEK and we had an amazing array of inspirational activities to celebrate reading and books across the school. The week started with a visiting story teller, Pat Ryan, who entertained us all with his workshops.
In classes, we studied a book for the week and transformed our classroom doors with some of our favourite reads.
On Wednesday, we had a Book Swap event and staff were amazed at the range of high quality books that were brought in to swap with others - thank you everyone who supported this.
Thursday was the BIG BOOKY READ. Adults picked stories and books to share with children all around the school.
Friday, we celebrated World Book Day with incredible costumes and sharing stories with other classes across the school.
