  • School Council Elections 2015

    Fri 25 Sep 2015
Our annual School Council Elections have taken place. We were really impressed with the quality of the candidates election speeches and poster campaigns. Results will be announced in Merit Assembly next week.
  • Rights Respecting Schools Award

    Mon 07 Sep 2015
We are delighted to announce that we are working towards becoming a UNICEF Rights Respecting School.
The Rights Respecting Schools Award (RRSA) recognises achievement in putting the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) at the heart of a school’s planning, policies, practice and ethos.

A rights-respecting school not only teaches about children’s rights but also models rights and respect in all its relationships: between teachers / adults and pupils, between adults and between pupils.

It also helps our children understand and appreciate that we are global citizens living in a wider world with different communities and lifestyles.

The rights we have decided to really focus on this year are:

Article 12 - Right to respect the views of the child

Article 24 - Right to be healthy and safe

Article 28 - Right to an education
