  • More Y6 PGL photos from the last day...

    Fri 15 Nov 2019
As our week of adventure came to an end, there were some more super memories to enjoy...
  • Greetings again from Year 6 at PGL

Thu 07 Nov 2019 Mrs Mellor

Another day of delights, personal bests and adventures for all.

Today we have mastered abseiling, zip wire, the Giant Swing and other problem solving and team activities.

We have continued to impress the staff with our enormous appetites in the canteen too. Hope the cooked breakfasts will continue when we get home...

We are currently dancing the night away in the PGL disco (whilst Mrs Mellor catches up on the website updates and her many emails!).

A final morning of activities lay ahead tomorrow before we head for home (hopefully by arriving back 3pm - but this depends on traffic etc).

The children can't wait to see their families and share their many adventures and their dirty, wet washing!

  • Year 6 have an action packed day at PGL...

Wed 06 Nov 2019 Mrs Mellor

What a day we have had!

The excitement started when we had a minibus full of visitors from school. They joined our groups and tried out activities with us all. Then we all went down to Osmington Bay for a beach walk and study of geographical features (along with some fun beach activities as well!).

Many of us found out we were great at archery, as well as overcoming more personal climbing challenges.

Oh yes... and we got rained on yet again!

Have a look at today's selection of photos...

  • Hello from Year 6 at Osmington Bay!

Tue 05 Nov 2019 Mrs Mellor

Our first day passed quickly with settling into our rooms, touring the Osmington site, complete with sea views, and finally having a very wet campfire experience.

On day 2, we have had a fun-filled day at PGL ...a 4 mile hike through muddy fields and swamps but complete with fresh ice cream from the local dairy farm (sorry about the muddy washing loads parents!).

Some of us took a leap of faith from the tall trapeze, played Aeroball and completed a sensory walk challenge.

This evening we have enjoyed Wacky Races and got to see the Weymouth firework display!

Teachers are hoping that the very tired children will sleep well tonight!
