• New Summer Menu for School Lunches

  When school reopens on Monday 11th April, the new Summer Menu will be in operation.

   

  These were sent home at the end of last term but you can view or download your own copy by going to;

  Tonight, the children of Newlands are performing for the 2016 Performance Arts Showcase.

• 15 Year 5 pupils attend Science Fair in Gosport

  Today 15 children from Year 5 had the opportunity to attend the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths Fair held in Gosport.

  The children engaged in 8 workshops run by local businesses. The level of scientific knowledge that our children demonstrated was impressive as were the questions that they posed.

  Another great learning opportunity.

  

• Art Extravaganza!

  We are very proud of the work our children have completed with local artist, Steve Porter. They have showed excellent teamwork and creativity to create two new master pieces for our school walls. One shares our Rights Respecting School focus and will be on show in the school office. The second shares our learning values and will be displayed in the corridor near to the school office.

• 100% Attendance Treat!

  Congratulations to 153 children who had 100% attendance for the Autumn Term and earned a ticket to our surprise theatre! Yesterday we watched "Wind in the Willows" performed by the Flying Pizza Theatre Company and also took home a special gold 100% certificate.

  We are hoping these children will continue their fantastic attendance this term as well in order to earn a bowling trip for 2 terms of 100% attendance!

  Everyone else is busy trying to earn our spring term 100% attendance treat by being in school every day from 4th Jan-24th March. Good luck!

  

• Community Carols

  On the last day of term, Newlands Primary invited guests from the community to join the choir and Mrs Jeffry's Pop choir for a festive singing performance and a mince pie.
